Account Executive – Digital Agency Sales

At 50,000 watts, day and night, KBLA Talk 1580 serves a coverage area of over 12 million listeners featuring our flagship syndicated show, Tavis Smiley.

Our expansion into the digital realm led to the creation of the KBLA Podcast Network, a revolutionary portal that further amplifies the power of audio storytelling. The network showcases an extensive range of podcasts, encompassing various genres and captivating Black audiences across the nation. We feature an omni-channel portfolio across audio, digital, podcasts, social media, streaming and on-demand street team activation services in local communities, providing premier opportunities for advertisers. For the second consecutive year, KBLA Talk 1580 is the most “trustworthy, reliable and credible” news source for Black audiences and beyond in Southern California.

What We Need:

  • A passionate and motivated digital Account Executive with a strong desire to be successful. The Account Executive will identify and solicit new business while servicing and growing existing accounts across our digital platforms. They are responsible for developing persuasive proposals in response to client needs assessment and/or opportunities. They will guide their clients based on market, platform and will have expert knowledge of station capabilities for advertisers.

Job Description:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities while maintaining a robust pipeline of sales prospects
  • Foster and nurture relationships with the existing client base
  • Identify new opportunities and develop persuasive proposals to meet each client/agency evolving needs
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations with confidence and on time
  • Maintain productive communication and follow through to ensure client satisfaction
  • Meticulously manage accounts and sales progress in our internal CRM system
  • Monitor competition to continually prospect new account leads
  • Be vigilant in building sales pipeline, lists, and conducting competitive analysis

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of digital media sales experience with agency sales experience
  • Motivated self-starter with a competitive and engaging personality
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and time management abilities
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Dedicated client service and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to flourish and multitask in a fast-paced start up environment
  • Social media sales experience a strong plus
  • Bachelor’s degree
