Juneteenth: “State of the Freed” Live Event!

KBLA Talk 1580 is pleased to partner with the Empowerment Congress, the Gathering Spot, the Institute for Nonviolence and Days of Dialogue for a “Juneteenth” program called “State of the Freed” to educate fellow citizens about the significance of the holiday and efforts around reparations for descendants of slaves living in California.

Program participants include California Reparations Task Force members Assemblyman Reginald Jones-Sawyer and State Senator Steve Bradford, along with KBLA’s own Dominique DiPrima, Areva Martin, Tavis Smiley and many more!

It all happens Saturday, June 10th, and you could be selected to attend this special invitation-only “Juneteenth” event along with Dominique, Areva and Tavis!
