(Airdate 1/31/25) J French is an accomplished rapper, multi-instrumentalist and producer from Oklahoma City. J French began rapping when he was 12 years old. From humble beginnings, J discovered his love for music as a means to overcome a speech impediment, learning to play various instruments from an early age. His innate talent for painting and drawing further showcased his artistic expertise. The son of Grammy-winning reggae percussionist and vocalist Brother Num, J French is a voting member of the GRAMMYS. He has worked with several rappers in Oklahoma-Texas and Los Angeles including RC & The Gritz, Erykah Badu’s official band, and members of TDE.
