Follow No one for Love

For the self still organized around avoidance, freedom can register as exposure. Removal of the external regulator often spikes activation. Familiar limitation frequently lowers it. The preference shows itself in repeated selection. A person can choose the clinician, the preacher, the partner, the teacher, or the authority whose remaining darkness matches their own. The match can feel like recognition. It can also keep both parties exactly where they already stand. Familiar wound over unfamiliar capacity appears with striking regularity. Unreadiness in the vessel leaves an opening. Figures step into that opening offering management while speaking the language of sight. When the frequency already feels known, the vessel may accept the arrangement without detecting the substitution. Recognition occurs. Contact with the indicated material does not. The false seer remains useful. The vessel remains managed. Clean pointing stays rare. A genuine pointer aims at what only the person can reach and then withdraws without claim. When the vessel cannot yet tolerate the loss of external regulation, the same pointing tends to produce conflict, rejection, or rapid return to dependence. Readiness determines whether indication can land or whether it converts into further delay. Material a person continues to refuse rarely remains private. It can appear outside as the next guide, the next lover, the next expert who will handle what still goes unexamined. People will often construct elaborate detours to avoid turning toward their own interior. Selecting a pointer who matches the current level of avoidance ranks among the more efficient of those detours. The preference for familiar containment continues to drive the selection across intimate, clinical, spiritual, and political relationships. Until that preference itself becomes visible and is no longer automatically obeyed, the field keeps supplying what the avoidance already knows how to use.
